i have an SS Spoiler and its not an SS, so why cant i have an RS emblem? Personally i think it looks good, And everybody else who see's my car loves it...........

my issues- get 3800 or v6 emblems. you dont have an rs... i mean, youre more than welcome to keep them on there if "everybody else" who sees your car loves it... but anyone who knows anything about cars can see that your car is badged as something its not... slightly ghey.
and yeah, redneck sh!t with the exhaust tips. just take a sawzall and shorten it a bit (dont cut from the tips, cut some of the tubing further up)

Funny you posted this. I JUST painted the calipers on my pewter convertible today: RED. Took me almost the entire day (about 6 hours) because I'm very meticulous and everything has to be perfect!

Well uh the SS spoiler is different b/c its not directly saying you have an SS. Lots of people love the look of SS spoilers, including myself. People can see a v6 with an SS spoiler and say "hey, thats a nice spoiler on that 6 cylinder" but the badge is claiming to be something you're not so umm...
not so cool.
Its very similar to someone putting SS badges on a regular Z28 car.

otherwise i had mine made from some guy who worked at a place that makes custom metal stuff. someone on here posted the link to the thread on a local board, and the guy made it for me for 35 bucks.
i just like to have it hidden, dont want cops giving me **** if i get pulled over or anything.

not a big fan of fillins or badging. you already have enough seen enough of what you dont like about the rs badge, - the avs and the stickers. the pipes have their + and - wher that are... i like the black corners

I knew this thread would become an "RS" emblem bashing... but just to add, being that I have an RS.. If I saw your car, I would NOT think that it was an LS1 just because of the hood and I certainly would know that it's not an RS. But the RS emblem tells me that it's a V6 because I personally have NEVER seen a V8 owner put an RS emblem on their car. I would take the emblem off. It would look cleaner and probably much meaner that way because people wouldn't know if they were looking at a 6 or a de-badged 8. Just my opinion. ;)

i put it on there so people would know that its a six, most people wont race me cause they think its an 8. so THAT is the reason that i put it on there
