[Smoke Panther]

did another photoshoot...I've always believed a great picture can make an average car extremely sexy, so I focused on taking a good picture as opposed to spending a ton of cash on appearance mods. The camera used was a Sony Cybershot DSC-H2 6MP Digital Camera...no photoshop touch-ups were made.

Appearance mods: Badge overlays, GS stripes, headlamp overlays, rear inserts, hose mod, red calipers, 13" antenna

2. get a cover for where that front plate should be

3. adding to what Niko said. If your going to focus on the picture and not moding the car, find a more interesting backround that makes your car stand out, not blend in.

Car is clean but plain and just average looking. If I saw it on the street, I'd think the same. Also, I don't care for GS stripes on any car unless it's the Grand Sport Vette. Why is your name "smokepanther" when you have a silver car? I was expecting a black car. (Maybe a sunset background would be a decent backdrop).

car looks great.
pictures can really make a car look that much better, and your pictures are perfect examples.
and without using photoshop on any of them? very nice.

a quick question.
what is the hose mod?
does it pertain only to a firebird or can it be done to any f-body.

1. If these 18 bored you, you'd fall asleep looking at the total 143 pics I took this morning. This small percentage is the best quality pics, regardless of the "pose." Like i said in the beginning of the thread, my focus is on taking a good picture...these are the best pictures.
2. Va. State law says I have to have a front tag. I'm not going to pay over $5 for something that I can only use for the hour out of the 6-7 months that I do photoshoots.

The area of Virginia I'm in is the visual equivalent of a forrest.
Blending backgrounds > tree/grass reflections

Unlikely. The sun reflects too harshly off my car to produce anything good. It would be covered with orange blobs

it's when you remove the rear isolators at the top of the spring and slip a piece of 5/8th heater hose over the end of it. It gets rid of our car's raked factory stance, making the car sit level.

Come on! You can pull this off. All you need to do is fly in a huge ND scrim behind the car to reduce the light level of the Sun a couple stops and fire a few hi-watt HMI lights on your car. You might want to flag off the bottom though so you still have natural shadows. I guarantee you'll have a beautiful shot. A polarizing filter on the camera couldn't hurt either.

Nobody said making an average car extremely sexy with a great picture was inexpensive. More importantly, where do you get a free Slurpee? I'm down wit' that.

I was thinking you were in Newport News.
If so there are tons of great locations there. Hell, either end of Denbeigh BLVD are good with boat ramps. There are some good roads off of Lucas Creek, or over around NASA and yorktown area.

There is more to taking a good car picture than just weird angles and cluttered backgrounds ;)

The car should be the main focus, but the backgroud needs to excentuate the stance, and apppearance of the ride.
