i think that youre biggest problem here is your inability to take constructive criticism. everyone has chimed in with opinions and suggestions. if you dont like this HELP, then i suggest you stop asking for opinions. maybe stick to the lounge?

^that's a suggestion?

Find one post where I asked for someone's opinion. Go ahead. I dare you. Quote me, just once, saying I wanted people's opinion in relation to the pics and in the context of this thread. It's not my problem that you all thought this was the big opportunity yall have been waiting for to legitimately bash my car.
Better luck next time.
But, on the other hand, I'm honored that so many people want to be indirectly/directly involved with my car. It's very gratifying to know that some people are going over pictures of my machine with a fine-tooth comb and are letting it's image fill their minds and consume their evening, while other picture threads are only getting a fraction of the amount of attention mine has recieved.
smokepanther, if you dont mind I'd like to give you some constructive criticism that will hopefully be beneficial to your future shoots.
My last shoot I did was very similar to yours in that I wanted to try specific "poses" and see what worked for me. Most of my pics look similar from my last shoot, and thats why.
Heres a few tips...
First of all, go to ls1tech.com and read some stickies in the multimedia forum. You'll find tons of great info such as the settings you should try on your camera which make a big difference.
Secondly, use your camera's viewfinder rather than the little screen. That screen is nice and handy at times, but when your going for photo composition and angles and focus, nothing will be better than the little view finder. This alone will help your photo's look better.
Follow the rule of thirds. If your not very familiar with it, google it.
Find a background that contrasts your color. My car is nbm, so I found a white/greyish wall and took pics, as well as a red brick wall. Red would work for your car, as well as even dark grey/almost black if you can find it (check loading docks, often dirty and blackened).
Overcast can be good for lighting, but dont get it in the shot, no one wants to see a crummy sky in the pics. Instead, the best light is just before the sun goes down, when its light out, but not reflecting off your car.
Take your pictures into photoshop. You dont have to get fancy here. Just crop the image to finalize the look of the photo you want. Keep in mind the rule of thirds again here.
Use auto color/contrast if your not comfortable adjusting the levels yourself.
Finally use the unsharp mask under the filters tab. This takes some getting used to to get what you want, but it really sets off your photos and clears them up nicely.
Lastly put a border on them. Really just makes them look more professional.
Your photo's are pretty good, but with a little extra work they can be way better.
All the info I just listed is credited to josh99ta on ls1tech. His posts taught me all that and I've been trying to use his info lately to help me, and my shots have been getting better and better, and im still just using a cheap kodak point and shoot camera.
Here is one of your shots before photoshop, and after I touched it up a bit.

After
Remember, photoshop isn't cheating to make your car look better. It's a tool to make a good photograph look great. Even the best photographers in the world use photoshop to make their pictures look that much better.
haha, go get a free slurpee, haha   :spank:
And if your trying to focus on taking pictures, go take a class...or photograph something else, because currently you suck at taking pictures of your own car.........

ya can't kill what you can't catch, and last time I checked, I'm faster than you.
Hmm... you might need to calibrate your monitor. Lookout knows what he's doing. Good job btw fixing the soft focus and removing his blue cast.
Hey Yeti, we have an opening for a graphic artists. Wanna move to Atlanta?
Thanks for the compliments, i appreciate it. Well... if I wasn't going into my third year of college for marketing and professional sales, I would take you up on that offer lol. I actually have family down in Marietta, pretty close to Atlanta if I recall.
