  • Tonneau Covers & Light Bar

Long story short, I may be getting a Convertible, and want to make it look more sporty, then the usual "femine" look they have. When you think 'vert, most think there's a lady driving. I want to make it look sporty by adding the RK Sport light bar and a Tonneau Cover. But, every Tonneau Cover I come by says it's not compatible with the light bar, however, in the picture of the light bar, they have Tonneau Covers on. Anyone know where I can get ones that are compatible, or why they aren't compatible? Would abit of cutting make them compatible?

So is the only thing on a 'light bar' the third brake light? 4 brake lights FTW....

IMO light bars are fugly. the tonneau cover i think would be plenty enough to set your vert apart from the crowd.

basically, yes, but it makes the car look better. Instead of just being the body, you now have a nice looking rollbar almost back there. I just thought it would be neat to have. Tonneau covers are a must IMO, and thought they looked pretty good with the light bar>> http://www.rksport.com/main/part_det...mdid=1&catid=1

I don't like the paint on that car, but imagine that on a solid black car with the tonneau cover humps in silver.

the light/roll bar on the mustang verts looks awesome but that camaro light bar looks hideous.

That's where I got the idea from. I like the way they look on the mustang verts, and I thought maybe they'd look pretty decent on a Camaro. For that pic, I think the angle, paint scheme, and just that car in general looks ugly. I e-mailed RKsport about it, but for some reason, I never get replies from companies I e-mail (PCM For less, Pacesetter, and Magnaflow have yet to return my e-mails, and they were sent awhile ago).

No it doesn't. It does not follow the natural lines of the car, it just looks like it was thrown together.

It just doesn't look right to me the camaro is so curvy and the light bar has kinda squared bends, I say just do the tonneau cover IMO but its your car so..... What year vert are you looking at? My dream is a 98+ vert black on black with the LS1

The only vehicle those bars look good on are Mustang Vert's. On a Camaro..no thanks.

It's a 97 black vert with a LT1. Looks like it's going to my dad for right now, but I'm sure I'll eventually get it :D. I like the tonneau covers alot, and just thought this might make it look even better. I'll think about it some more, but tonneau covers are a must.

Well, ya mentioned the femme factor.

If you really wanna make this camaro a man's car, and ya gotta have a rollbar...

... get real one installed. There is no more better safety and racer mod for convert safety and chassis stiffness (cabrio, right?) than a steel rollbar.

Some night coming home from a kegger or ? u may b glad it was there....

                            A tonnuea is cool.
