OK, here's the deal. I live out on a dirt road, and it's not exactly the best place to have a Camaro, yet alone keep one clean :(. I've noticed some of you guys have mudflaps on yours. Did they come with them, or did you put them on yourselves? Did they help keep some of the dirt/mud off the car? I think they actually don't look that bad, and am thinking about a pair for my 97 Camaro.

I know a guy with an '81 Z28 black w/ red stripes and they look pretty good with the car, but with the '93-'02 styles i don't think they would look to good.

They look decent on a 3rd gen, but I have never seen them on a 4th gen.

My car had some when I bought it. They scrape on everything. More than the air dam does.

I'm not worried about rock kick up, the thing is I can't seem to keep her clean. In just washed/waxed her and I was idling down my road with my foor on the brake (GPS said I was going ~2MPH), and when I got out, I had to hose the car down. Now, when I'm coming home, this isn't that bad cuz I can wash it all right off, but when I go to work or school or w/e, then I'm screwed because all it does is sit out in the sun and bake on. I've got a body kit that I need to get painted and then I'll put it on, cuz I read that it will keep the dirt down, but I don't know when I'll be able to afford paint. Any other little tricks or anything for keeping dirt off the car?

I have them on my car... everytime I post pics people tell me to take them off, but they help a ton keeping dirt off the car... Some of the crap that gets stuck on them makes me sick thinking that it would be plastered to my paint.

I would never touch my car with anything to brush it off if theres dirt/dust on it... that just asking for fine scratches, like swirl marks..
