  • no more rc car antenna yay!!!

ok, I hated my RC car antenna and i have seen a lot of people selling short ones and i thought to myself i can do that so i was at the local auto zone and found a open box item of a GM style antenna for $2.08(there $19.99 new) with tax i couldn't pass it up (i was in to by tire shine but i always come out with more than i need i dont under stand that?) but, it threaded right onto the stock antenna body mount i looked at how the ball was instaled on the antenna shaft and i took a pair of vice grips and twisted the ball right off (EASY) i wanted the antenna short i figured on 12 in. so i was going to use a hack saw (my favorite tool :D ) but i say my brake line/ fuel line tool and that worked like a dream like it was ment for it tappered the antenna mast with a file and with one good hit from my hammer it was done. no lie, total cost $2.08 total time spent maybe half and hour. If any ? let me know i can walk you through it.

sorry no good pics with it on the car but you get the idea

it finaly stoped raining long enoff for me to wash it and take i good pic of it where you can see the short antenna what do you think now
