  • Which Shift Knob?

OK, I've got a 97 Camaro and am looking at getting a Pro5.0 shifter with Lou's Short Stick. My current shift knob is falling apart (leather wrapped 'L' shaped one), and figured I'd go ahead and get a new one with the shifter. So, which one? I'm liking th pistol grip, but am wondering how it would be for just daily driving. Same goes for the t-handles. What do you guys think?

    Hurst Hammer Head T-Handle
    Hurst T-Handle

Which one? I LOVE the looks of the Pistol grip, but the price is turning me away :( The hammerhead is also kewl looking, but I wanna see pics of it installed b4 I buy.

I love the pistol grip. Hurts makes the same one in a black brushed aluminum finish. go with that it wont stand out as obnoxiously

i vote none of them. i'd vote for a ball grip if you're going to get something other than factory style shift knob.

i bet those would get hot in the summer, and it would suck to drive with a hot shifter

That would go perfect in my car. Red w/black and am converting the interior to the same way. Never even thought about the heat though :(. O well, guess I"ll stop at a couple auto stores today and see what they've got.

yeah i would just get a stock replacement. i think those knobs look the best. i agree with kristen, those three knobs are too gaudy. but its personal preferance i guess.

stopped aut Advanced yesterday to get a replacement taillight and found the pistol grip there for $35. It now belongs to me :), but won't fit on my stock shifter since I cut all the threads off :(
