i bought an RS lip on here and now i need to paint it. I dont really feel like paying for a body shop to paint it. I have been considering going to autozone and getting a couple cans of duplicolor and clear and doing it myself. how good do you guys think duplicolor will hold up? I know most of the paints life and look all depends on the prep. i have sprayed a few things in the past and they have come out really nice, but i have never sprayed anything this big before. what do you recommend?

Re: painting my RS lip duplicolor???
It's better to get it professionally painted. How much could it be? Hundred bucks or so? If you want to go that route though, I'd use Krylon. Prep, prime, paint. It may not even need a clearcoat if you let it cure and then hand buff it with 3M Hand Glaze. I've done a couple touch ups that way and they came out pretty good. But then again, that was on my black commuter car. ;)Last edited by Shirl; 08-31-2007, 02:05 PM.2004 CE Corvette 10.86@132mph
