maybe i am just crazy....but doesn't this badge seem as useful as an "A4" badge...or if you have a red car...then get a "RED" badge...or even as dumb as those " 20" " badges...Or lastly if you have halo lights to get a "halo" badge..Seriously...Am I the only one who thinks this is dumb??

y87 owner here but it's tacky in my honest opinion. You guys go ahead if u guys want but our cars are the economical version of the real car. It's a slow v6 fbody. Do we really need to show it off with y87 badge?

Then why isn't a WS6, or 1LE, or Z28 badge dumb? How about an LT1 badge, or an LS7 Badge, or a Z06 badge?

A Y87 badge would serve the same purpose as any of those. It's merely displaying what the car is equipped with.

WS6 is merely a the RPO code designation for a ram-air handling package added on to V8 F-bodies at the discretion of the buyer. But people pay $60 for a new one when their old one breaks off.

Y87 is the 3800's Performance package. It's an RPO code that shows our cars came with upgrades from the factory. I think it's a great idea. I'll be posting an idea for it later on, once I get done on photo shop. I say be proud of what you have and show it off if you want to.

IMO, they are useless. Car manufacturers had to put it in order for the customers/dealers to distinguish the car among others. All my f-bodies were DEBADGED. I am this --> ll close to debadging my Z... there are many Z06/SS/Z28 guys running debadged .... I love debadging my cars but that's just me... I was never a big fan of badges....

Well, all of those cars CAME with those badges...and/or there is a REAL badge that was made for them. You're talking about custom making a badge that really wo't mean anything. no offense, but lame in my opinion...do what makes you happy though. its your car and thats what counts. the car may have come with some small performance upgrades from the factory, but it didn't come wih the badges.
