  • converting to t tops

    alright, i have everything i need, write ups included....but all i want to know is do i have to drill holes for the center bracket between the t tops on the top of the car?

    nope GM did that for you as well :)

    Abbott long tubes,homemade true duals,slp ram air,whisper lid,eibach springs,kyb shocks,BMR subframe connectors, BMR LCA reloc brackets,BMR LCAs. T-top/manual converted

            yeah, ive been told the hardest part was gathering the balls to cut the roof, and its a breeze after that. Im hoping its that simple haha. But i guess i wont have a choice once i make the cut. and i love t tops, always wanted them.

                  sweet. the only thing i have to do before i start the project is figure out how to get the handle off the t tops off.. i gotta fix the lock so my key (or any key) would work and wd 40 some things under it.                         it's always nice telling people your car used to be a hard top and you personally converted it to t-tops

                          I should be starting on it this coming week hopefully. It got cold all of a sudden and it sucks. KY can have some weird weather changes. I'll definitely post some progress pics when i start.

                              thats the best one i have found, a lot of other f body guys seem to appreciate it as well. Hope it helps ya.

                              Oh and does anyone know if you need any kind of weatherstripping that goes behind the t tops onto the pillar? i saw a pic a guy sent me of his..but he sold the maro years ago and he had some time of strip. I wouldnt think i would need it, but figured a little more knowledge couldnt hurt.
