Hey guys, just wanted to let you guys know that I made a website for a friend who sells F-Body LED kits. It's worth taking a look at if you ever wanted to get LED's for your car without paying an arm and a leg for a kit. The website is called LED Vault and the address is http://ledvault.com

Hopefully, some of you guys can save a couple bucks on that LED kit you've always wanted!!! :)

      Re: LED Vault

All of the products (minus the side marker LED's and taillight LED's) have pictures and details about the product. Did you click on the link?

We'll get the pictures up for those items once we get a set installed, or if a customer sends us some pics.

yes i clicked the link, and went through at least 10 of the products, only one of which had any pictures. Most of them were the LED VAULT pic that weren't clickable or just linked to the current page. There is no picture of the actual product even with the installed items. For instance, camaro daytime running lights. No pictures of the product or installed, no information regaurding the actual product. (# of leds, light output, etc)

Ok, I understand what your saying. The LED Vault images are there to signify that there is an image. If you check all of the interior kits, the images all work there. We just added all of the exterior stuff, which is why there aren't any working images there yet.

Also, are you using firefox or IE?

To be fair, you're actually helping me get some problems fixed!

            Re: LED Vault

I was able to see all the images other than the ones that don't have pictures...

About those HIDs, what type of housing does it use, and are they included with the kit?

              Re: LED Vault

The HID kit is only for camaro's so far. IT will use your stock housings. I'm actually right about to upload a picture of what you would receive in the kit.

Sorry if I can't 'nail' the answers. I only made the site .. :) :)

                Re: LED Vault

Would be better if you had comparison pictures. For instance, the back up lights, I would have left one stock and put the LED in the other just so you can see the difference, if there is any.

I'm using firefox. I'm saying ontop of what it's going to look like installed (customer photos) also have pictures for every product of the actual product. What I would be receiving in the mail. I think that should be a decent size in the actual products listing

                    Re: LED Vault

So are you suggesting I take pictures of the packaging? I'm not quite sure I follow. Or do you mean a picture of the led's that you'd be getting in the package. If that's the case, I plan on getting those shots up soon.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I was able to go back and change out the images, so they look like more appropriate for thumbnails, as well as add a description of the product for each kit.

I'm interested to know how you got the DRL to work... What I've assumed through my research is that you could not replace the DRL's with LED's due to some kind of pulse technology GM uses to save power... wear extremely fast pulses of power are sent to the DRL's instead of just constant power... with a regular incandescent bulb... you aren't able to see these pulses but with an LED you are... and it also decreases the lifetime of the LED... if you found a way around the pulse technology then I'll probably buy that kit...

To be honest, I don't know. I'll ask the supplier if this is the case. I'll get word back right away to ya!

                          Re: LED Vault

The LED's will not flicker if you purchase an EL12 flasher unit. Of course you do not have to use our LED's, but the flasher will stop any flickering you are experiencing.

We do offer an EL12 flasher on the site. I believe it's 19.99$

The link is here. The flasher is the last listing.

                            Re: LED Vault

So what exactly kind of work is involved with changing over the HVAC controls and gauge cluster to the LED blue? I've replaced the stock seaweed colors with some blue before but it didnt turn out well at all... for that all I had to do was take out the gauge cluster, remove the lights, and put the new ones in etc. Is that all thats involved with these?
