  • engine cleaning progress thus far...

well i have slowly been trying to clean the engine bay, which is hard.
Not easy cleaning 140k miles of gunk off the car.

but things i have done so far are...
    paint air lid
paint thing under air lid gloss black
    paint valve covers
    cleaned pullies
    freshen up hoses
    polished alt

    things to come:
    wire loom loose wires
wire mod, do something about the ugly wheel wells
    paint intake manifold/throttlebody
    probably some other stuff

but tell me what you think so far.

clean the white painted stuff and that should make the whole bay look exponentially better. Looks good so far though!

Buy that stuff, Mothers Aluminum Polish and you can polish up most of the metal stuff like the A/C can, and the brake line thing on the drivers side of the car, all the hose connections, etc. Stuff is unbelieveable. Lookin good! Keep it up!

Like ^ said, clean the white areas, and DAMN that brake fluid res. needs some love too.

try that stuff...works WONDERS! just grab a long bristle brush (like a rim brush) and goto town...best part is, it shines everything up, but unlike spraying silicon in the engine bay dirt won't stick anymore...dunno how it works, but I love it...do it every other wash and it keeps everything tip-top.
