You guys are complaining about 32?! VA is 50 and they will pull you over and ticket you.
I had 22% for 5 years there and got one ticket and it was because I was speeding that I got pulled over. They can't pull you over fr just tint there, they need a primary reason.

Yep VA is 50% for fronts i believe, and 35 for back.
There is actually a 7% plus or minus factor the statey told me which means you could go 28% "legally" I don't know if that was his rule or an actual rule. I was past though so he laughed and said heres your ticket.
in ohio THEY WILL pull you over for the tint and give you a ticket $109.00 and that sux i hate it but i think i might go limo bc think about it when do you ride with you windows up i never do only when its raining or when i feel like rindin' dirrty lol as my gf calls it just roll you windows down in ohio you back window car be as dark as you want it mine is limo front are legal but that is was like 2 years ago and i know they have changed it sence then and i have been warned like 3 times but o well but i know a buddie in marion and they never pull his camaro over for limo ?? there realy dic*s in my town ever sence a kid dided on a bike when he was stupid and was racing a vette and all i got to say is that he lost

I just got stupider by trying to read your post. Punctuation is your friend man....And someone dided? I wanna dided! Why can't I dided?!?
Well....I dunno about there, I'm in Fl and I got a ticket for it once, but the jerk cop (yes, he really was a jerk, i'm not just saying that) pulled me over b/c he thought I squeezed through too tight of a space btween a curb and 2 ppl by a car, even though a DIFFERENT police officer motiond me to move forward....
I don't think tehy'll pull you over shrictly for the tint, although they can. But i'm pretty sure if you get pulled over and it's too dark (mines 5%) then you're gettin a ticket. Mine was only $72.50 though.
Congrats sceneiskeen. But...was your bud's ticket for ONLY his tint? B/c that's more than it costs to get put on....
Just reading some of the posts on this thread pisses me off. It's bull**** how I can get a ticket for $66.80 for doing a burnout and you guys get a worse ticket because your windows are dark? I think there is something wrong with that. My car could have very well gone out of control, but all you guys are doing (the ones that got the tickets for illegal tint) is driving and getting pulled over for bull**** reasons. Having illegal tint should just be a minor ticket of like $20 or $30 compared something that could cause an accident. I do realize I'm putting my driving at fault here, but come on. It's just bull****!

Its a safety concern for police as they cant see the occupants and what there doing as there walking up on them.

I did get pulled over in Ohio for my tint, but my truck, register in GA, is legal. I told the cop it's legal in Georgia. He said, with an attitude, "you're not in GA." I said, "my vehicle is registered in GA and my residence is in GA. Are you telling me I couldn't drive in California because I car doesn't have California emissions?" He let me go, but told me he didn't want to see me in town again. What a ****.

****, I got a $175 ticket for having my license plate in my back window of my truck... get this: Lexan window with the plate box, screw mounted with a light. That's bull**** for ya.
How is 32% easier to see through than clear glass? They start with your glass, clear or factory tinted and then ADD tint to it making it darker. I don't get what your saying.
You didn't catch the sarcasm. I was saying that 30whatever percent tint is pointless in my book. Understand?

In IL you can have the back as dark as you want and nothing on the sides. Doesn't make sense.
Why doesn't that make sense? An officer would still be able to approach the car and see whats going on inside through the side windows.
My theory is that in St. Louis a cop would rather not just pull somebody over for tint. Dark tint usually means (sketchy situation)-related person. If you were a cop would you want to walk up to a car that you couldn't see in to, just for a tint ticket? Bigger things to worry about.

I can't remember percentage of my tint, I went one shade lighter then limo black on my side and back windows. It is illegal in CA to have a dark tint on the side, but I have had it on past cars. I only got a ticket one time, when i got pulled over for speeding so cop gave me ticket for the tint instead a fixit ticket so $10.

i got a ticket for "prohibited tire noise" which was by no means a burnout. my tires sqeaked over the painted cross walk turning from a stop sign. That ticket was $245. You got dang lucky.
well the cops in ohio just look for a reason to pull you over we have "safety checks" all the time. i have 3 windows stickers from this summer for a passed safety checks and every time i was warned about the tint. but i mean the cops see a nice f body with aftermarket wheels with some what loud exaust maybe multi colored lights and there going to look for a reason to pull you over here so now (after 2 tickets in under 4 months) i try to draw as little as atten. to myself as needed
