Other states really crack down on that? Legal in Oklahoma i believe is 20 or 25%. I went 5% all the way around never had any issues. 5-6 years of having it like that as well.
yes, they do
i got pulled over for my tint after 3 months with it on, had 35%, legal in pa is 70%
i got a ticket for "prohibited tire noise" which was by no means a burnout. my tires sqeaked over the painted cross walk turning from a stop sign. That ticket was $245. You got dang lucky.
Dude...that really sucks. My tires do that all the time if I'm passing over a painted surface from a slow/standstill.
And 70%.....is that even noticeable???? In Fl you can tint the back windows any level, but 30% is the front (but I must say, 5% is the way to go:))
in misssissippi it is 35 for the fronts and limitless for the back. and you cant get a inspection sticker if your tint is too dark. mine is 22% all the way arround. and you cant have reflective tent, i had mirror tent and got a repair order(which means have it off by your court date ro pay the fine and get another ticket).
i understand officer saftey but i still think it is BS. My dad bought his 96 chrysler concorde in 1997 from the chrysler dealership. It had 38% window tint on it here in VA. About 2-3 years ago he got pulled over twice within the same month for it. He explained to the state cop that he bought the car with the tint on it and the cop still wrote him a ticket. He said you can peel it off. Well I ended up having to take it off. What a sticky mess. A razor blade and a bottle of goo-gone later and your ok. But I mean still, if it's illegal to be on your car it should be illegal for it to be sold, just like it is illegal for neons to be on your car, then why can autozone sell and underbody kit for 100 bucks? doesn't make sense to me.

Some cars have front plates and others of same make and model don't. Cars are SUPPOSE to be sold so as there legal in that state.
