cowl or scoop

im kinda torn between a cowl and scoop hood for my car ive always perfered the cowel but the SS's scoop looks sick opinions thoughts prices any and all advice would be appreciated

IMO A cowl should only be added if you've got something to back it up. putting a cowl hood on a stock v6 is a bit too much for me. I've always liked the SS hood. What year camaro?

SS hood, im also a fan of the Ultra-Z hood... but you're gonna get more people who like the look of the SS

i dont think you could effectively use a cowl hood on a 4th gen, v8 or not.

what would you put there, a big throttle body?

its just not very useable space.


but aside from that, they dont look very good either.

not thats its necessarily usable, but i like the look of some cowls better than the SS, although the SS is sweet too..

the only hood that i like on the 93-97 camaro's is a cowl hood, but.....you have nothing to back it up like everyone else said. so you can't do it yet!!!

93-97's I say cowl, but 98+ I would say scoop

I vote for the cowl too. Just not a huge one since you dont have anything to back it up.

I like the sunco VFN cowl hood for the 93-97, I think the other style of cowl hoods make it look too much like a 3rd gen. I also like the ss hood.

i am so torn between a 3" cowl hood or an SS hood for my 2000... i seriously have no idea what to do. Im having my painted like a z28, silver and black on top and i cant decide whether to paint the hood black or silver! ugh!!!!

I have the Ultra-Z on my car and i love it. It's also the only car with it in my region so it's even better. Go with the ultra-z.
