I've seen pics of camaros on here on which the spot above the bumper, but below the hatch is black. Is this intentional? What's the deal with that? And what is this whistler mod? I've searched, but can't find a description.

scene: yeah like that. I've seen them in flat black as well. I like it. I think I might do that.
And thanks for the description of the whistler mod. :D
What is involved in painting the berger panel? How does that work?Originally posted by LETZRIDEI've never touched a rear end before

Re: What is that called? (and whistler mods.)
my panel came off of a Z28.
due to mine being cracked.
or you can take it off, sand it down and spray it.
maybe a gloss if you want or a flatt black if you want.
i think it makes any camaro look 100 times better.

i think it can look okay sometimes... but most the time i don't like it.. no offense... it doesn't look like something somebody did on purpose, its like somebody wrecked it and couldn't afford to paint the new one... or the ricey unpainted body kit look...

Re: What is that called? (and whistler mods.)
I'm sure you guys remember my painting red accents into the interior and doing red and black seat covers, neons in the floorboards, etc etc, right? Well it hit me one day that it didn't look all that great, so I'm getting rid of it all. I'm trying to sell it to some random ricer. :P They'll throw it in some POS honda. I'm trying to decide what I want to do to make my car look much better. I'm gonna go with a grill, camaro embroidered floor mats, and possibly this berger panel thing. What is involved in painting this? How would I go about it? What visual mods do you guys recommend?Originally posted by LETZRIDEI've never touched a rear end before

I don't get the berger panal idea either... Although, I also don't get the CETA rear bumper being black, so I guess I just like all panels painted the same color :).Don\'t Ever Judge Me
\'96 Firebird Y87 3.8L V6 5spd
--No mods as of yet, shoot me some ideas if ya want.
178,000 miles and counting

Re: What is that called? (and whistler mods.)
Oh and on RKsport, there are some stripes that are listed as fitting a 98-02 Camaro, but they are still listed under the 93 3.4 section. Would they fit on mine? They say they line up using tabs identifying where things are, such as the hood, spoiler, etc.Originally posted by LETZRIDEI've never touched a rear end before

Here are a few different pics of my 93 'Maro. I have since repainted the black stripes. They were fading and the paint was coming off. :POriginally posted by LETZRIDEI've never touched a rear end before
