Niteshades

Im applying niteshades to my taillights tonight... but i was wondering if you needed to, could you wetsand off the tinted part to return it to normal?

As far as I know, Niteshades is made to adhere to the plastic, and in a sense "melts" it to the surface. Wetsanding should be possible, but it would surely take a LOT of sanding.

if you mess up, you can sand off the niteshades, but it's a pita to get it back to normal

if you screw up, just let it dry, sand it smooth, and apply more niteshades.

this is a better idea, my friend put that crap on his tail lights, and it looks stupid.. not to mention it is all "rough"

I'm sure VHT looks good when done right, but how many people know how to do it right, or have the patience too? And blackouts only fall off if you don't put them on right. Right being with a piece of velcro or something; I had one of mine fall off as well. Bought nightshades to replace them, and want my blackouts back :(

ive got a guy helping me who has done them before

i actually have blackouts in my garage, but thats not what im going for. im not looking for a totally blacked out look, i want where you can still see the colors in the taillights, but with a noticeably darker tint... you cant get that with blackouts

pics hopefully when im done so you guys can see what im talking about

The only time any blackouts have fallen off they were installed wrong. If you don't put them on all the way, there's a gap that lets air get in and pulls it off. I've driven on the autobahn at high rates of speed with mine on and they are fine.

And you don't need velcro.
