So wait, is the 2000 still s/c'ed and completely functional?...I love that car. If so you should leave the 97 front as it (and I prefer the 98+s) just b/c it would be cooler to have one of each IMO, but either way I'm sure it'll be badass when you're done with it.
People are saying not to do the 98+ Conversion on 97's because that's the only year that our car was offered with the older front end, but newer interior. It's almost like how '02s were the last year of the F-Body. IMO, A 97 will be worth more than a 93-96 because of that.

93-96 exterior
98-02 interior
98-02 tail lights
weird PCM lol
and 30th Anniversary junk as well.
-seats are being replaced with 98+ TA seats
-tail lights are staying the same
-exterior is going to stay the same color, but a 98+ front end
-PCM will be a 97
