Finally, after searching forever...Ive found some sweet lookin 16inch rims for the camaro...Im buyin em and putting em on come summer time...just thought I'd share a link to em incase anyone else was wanting to get some rims but dont want to go bigger then 16's...like me
yea 16 is stock...I just dont want the extra weight...Im not worried about the speedo...the amount its off is very minimal...the extra weight from a rim is not just dead weight...its added rotational mass which is a BIG factor...you figure someone here said they dynoed a aluminum driveshaft on there car...20lbs diff drom stock and it freed up 19rwhp...thats rotational mass...when I put my aluminum driveshaft on I noticed a HUGE difference...more so then I did with my catback and headers combined....so thats the reason I dont want to go to bigger rims...bigger rims will be like 20lbs heavier atleast...Therefore I feel I've tied that 19rwhp back up....lol
I want looks...but not at the price of performance
there is just way to much going on there with those rims. way to flashie for a fbody. just my .02
Too flashy?? They are 5 spoke lol...Believe me I want to stay away from flashy, I want something that is just nice and simple and looks good at the same time...the vette wheels only come in 17's or bigger, and although they look nice...everyone has them....I have yet to see an F-body with these rims (probably partly due to the fact that I heard they just made a bolt pattern recently for us)
Yeah, but then he has to pay for new tires too... duh.. :p
EXACTLY lol...anyways 17's and 18's are too heavy...the way I look at it is if you go for a walk around the block and put 20lbs in your nap sack...then you take the same walk around the block but instead of putting the 20lbs in your nap sack, you wear 10lb shoes instead...I bet you it will take you longer to walk around the block with the weight on your feet...or at the very least require more effort....Thats exactly what bigger heavier rims do to your car...20lbs isnt a big deal if it wasnt rotational mass...plus like I said, everyone has vette rims
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
