After searching the posts (yes, the search works here), I compiled a list of detailing products, including the clay bar. I didn't have much time today, but I worked on the spoiler. I think it came out pretty nice. Check it.

Do you guys/girls get water spots etched into the paint at all? Certain parts of my black car has gotten that, on top of the roof is and the tops of the mirrors. I think it's from either acid rain or hard water. The rest of my car was custom painted and cleared several times so I don't have any problems. But will the clay bar smoothe out those little tiny craters a little bit? anyone know?

                    Re: Clay Bar

I get water spots some times from hard water. You have a few options depending on how bad they are.

                    1) Instant Detailer/Hand Wash (sounds like this wouldn't work for you)
                    2) White Vinegar 50/50 with distilled water
                    3) Clay Bar
                    4) Paint Cleaner/Cleaner Wax
                    5) Polish

I've found that if I keep a good layer of wax on the car I won't get any paint etching, which is what I'm really worried about. Right now I have an acrylic sealant topped with a carnuba and I'm pretty happy with it.

Thanks for the suggestions! Yeah, black is super tough to care for. Takes me 3-4 hours just to wash it, polish it, clean the wheels, and get every little bit of water off.

Yeah I have what seems like permanent water marks on my windows.. and it's not bubbles because I don't think I even have tint. I think I may need to get some 2000# sandpaper or something.. lol it's annoying. Would that 50/50 vinegar/water help maybe?

Yep, I have those too. I hate it. You can only see them if you look closely though. I'll have to try that vinegar/water trick too and see if it works.
