haven't posted in a while but i thought i'd ask for everyone's opinion before i went out and made some drastic modifications to the appearance of the camaro. so i can't decide between a drag style (15-16" drag wheels and with a wider/bigger tire for the rear) or a street style (a 17/18" stagger or 18's all the way around). there was a post on here earlier about f-bodies with the drag look and performance to boot, but i can't find it again. i'm def going with a sunoco style hood, mecham spoiler, fresh paint with hugger orange stripes, and some other custom body mods, but the one thing i can't decide on is the wheel style. what yall think? its the LT1 body style btw.

Re: wheel style...
its all a matter of preference. look up some pictures of each and see for yourself. personally, i went with 17s all around. good looks/price combo.

Re: wheel style...
Where have you been man? Personally I loved your car just how it was, but if your up for a change, more power to you.
While I like the drag look, I personally wouldn't sport it on a V6, particularly one that isn't an all out drag car. You could get your TTIIs chromed or maybe even paint the gunmetal part white? That would be a more old school approach at it, but might look ok, i'd have to see it.
If you are gonna get a new set of wheels, what style were you thinking?

Re: wheel style...
If you're never at the drag strip/don't have a car hardcore enough to sport them... then I would stay away from the drag wheels... plus... if you were thinking about getting Hoosiers... they are dang expensive...
If you want something different that no one has... you can always look at Foose, Boyd Coddington, Fikse, HRE... all uber expensive... and rare to see on a f-body...

Re: wheel style...
oh just been really busy will school and such. not a whole lot of time to work on the camaro, but since its the holidays i'm getting back into the groove.
Loochy, i have 17s all the way around as well, but since i lowered the car, i feel like a 17/18 stagger or 18s all around would be a better sport/street style choice for my tastes.
i've seen pictures of a few drag style f-bodies on another board, and also saw one at a gas station the other night. they look mean! as far as not backing up the look, i'm planning an engine swap as soon as the 3.4 dies, so thats not really an issue for me.
i was thinking either C5 Z06 or AR Rebels for the street look and almost any Centerline or classic style race/drag wheels for the drag look. planning on an all black wheel with some painted accents to match the new stripes. wouldn't be look at Hoosiers...nothing that big...the car is too low and i don't wanna have to heavily mod the wheel wells.1994 Camaro 3.4 L V6
2.5\" Flowmaster 80 Series American Thunder Exhaust
SLP Cold Air Intake
Sony Head Unit
Pioneer Midranges
2 10\" Sony XPlod 1100 W Subs
Power Acoustiks 980 W Amp
http://www.cardomain.com/id/heartbeat_of_94

Re: wheel style...
and after being on other boards the Foose, BCs, Fikse, and HRE wheels all seem very frequent. its not about being different or unique really because its my car and its gonna be unique no matter what...its just going with a certain style more or less.1994 Camaro 3.4 L V6
2.5\" Flowmaster 80 Series American Thunder Exhaust
SLP Cold Air Intake
Sony Head Unit
Pioneer Midranges
2 10\" Sony XPlod 1100 W Subs
Power Acoustiks 980 W Amp
http://www.cardomain.com/id/heartbeat_of_94

Re: wheel style...
As far as street style, from your choices I would definitely go with the AR Rebels. Even though I've never thought C5 Z06s blend well with early 4th gen, they are mostly just overplayed. The AR Rebels are less common and a better looking wheel IMO. But, like I said, I love your wheels now. If you want to send them my way, I'll be glad to take them off your hands ;)

Re: wheel style...
When you take into account that the majority of F-Body owners upgrade to either Corvette wheels or TTII's... those brands are in the minority... Maybe on the other boards there are people that buy them... but most likely they are either people with Z's, SS's, TA's, or WS6's... and have a ton of money to spend on their car... or someone with a V6 that would rather buy a nice set of wheels instead of a LT1 or LS1... Definitely not the majority...
IF you are going to do a engine swap... by all means... go with the drag look... not only is it hardcore... you'll get better ET's...
