I just bought a 94 Camaro with the 3.4 V6. It is in great shape inside and out. This car has been well taken care of. I only have 1 problem. Everything on the dash works except the odometer and the trip odometer. The speed works just fine. Is there something that could just be unplugged or is there a bigger problem. Thanks.

This would probably need to go to General Tech.
Anyhow, when I had a crappy Eclipse, my speedometer and odometer did not work. It ended up that the speedo sensor, which was mounted above the trans, gear was worn and wasn't making contact. After I replaced that, it ended up being the wiring as well.
I'm not sure if that's the same with our cars, but hopefully I can point you in some kind of direction or at least get someone to shine some light on this subject.

Re: Odometer and trip not working. Why?
the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) affects the speedometer. If the speedo is working correctly, then it's probably not related to the VSS. The first thing I would do is take the gauge cluster out and make sure there are no loose connections to the odometer module. It may be that the module itself is dead, or it may be that the previous owner unplugged it to keep the miles down, then forgot to plug it back in when he sold it. Otherwise, my guess would be that the cluster is going and you'll need to pick up a new one.
