Well, I just bought a Black Leather Stitched Automatic Shift Knob from a 95 Tran Am, and it doesn't fit on my Automatic 98 Camaro. I try to put it on but it only goes down a little bit then wont move. I press in the button and it doesn't press down far enough to shift through gears.
What Gives? Do early 4th gen shift knobs not work on Late 4th Gen?

I have a T handle knob from a 95 Trans Am. It works perfect without mods in my 98 camaro! No problems! All Gm automatik knobs in this time area are the same!
Than this is really weird, because it simply wont fit on all the way. Think if I rubbed some lube on it, it'll fit? lol

Did you take the plastic staple out from the front of it first? Stupid question, but thought I would ask. Also, are you sure it's from a 95 T/A? There are a lot of similiar looking knobs out there, might want to make sure.
Yes, I took the Pin out and yes, its from a 95 Trans Am. It still wont slide down all the way.
