about ram air hood

can i put a ram air hood on my firebird i have these mods Whisper Cold-Air Induction and SLP Ram-Air Induction Package flowmaster exhuast and magaflow High-Flow Catalytic Converter and pacesetter hearders

Sure can...if the hood is functional, you can get a raised airbox and ditch the SLP CAI unit. But it'll be more looks than anything...I think the you current set up would be better than a functional Ram Air hood.

ram air hood.... hmm 100% appearance. A regular trans am will have the same amount of HP as a WS6. I wouldn't even pay the extra 100 some places offer to make it functional.

it would only give your more fresh air if the holes in the hood where opened.

you can do a ram air and buy one cheap on ebay. i got one for my bird looks great def do it.

If your looking for performance buy a cat back and some headers. If you want to look good buy the hood. If you don't have rims i'd go that way first.

There is so much info on this already. Try using the search button on ram air functional and you will find plenty of info. its better then waiting for someone to answer you. If you do go with one... look around on ls1tech.com or ebay. There are other options as well such as slp hood. good luck
