average price to chrome wheels

Anyone know about how much it costs to chrome a set of old stock 16'' wheels? or would it be cheaper to buy wheels that are already chrome? Also, would a machine shop be the place to look to get something like that done? We have this new chrome paint stuff at school in my autobody class, but its very expensive and very time consuming and it takes like a month to wait for curing times and everything which is not what im wanting to do for something that could flake off with the slightest curb scrape.

chroming stock wheels aint worth it. It usually costs 100-150 per wheel. Look on ebay for wheels.
