Hey, welcome to the site!
What area of San Jose are you from? I used to live near Alum Rock park, my parents still do at least. So i know some people over there.. unfortunately only one of them got their car painted and he wouldn't recommend them.
May i also suggest posting this in the West Coast forum, most of the active members in there like Izz!, Gugdathug, and someone else i forget.. are from the SFBA.

engine bays are a pain in the neck. gotta move everything out of the way to paint. dunno what a shop would charge.. but id say 200-300 bucks for the bay would be about a fair price.Dave:
