I kind of want tinted windows, but not enoughf to spend more than the price of pre cut tint (ebay 20 bucks) I think I can do it with out too many bubbels, on the side windows. The back window is what I'm afraid of. Has anyone done it? Is there a guide someware? I feel like it would be eazer to take the whole back hatch off and tint it off of the car. Any thoughts?

Re: Tinting my back window
I may be wrong, never really paid attention to mine, but I think the back window has to be done in 2 pieces. Correct me if I'm wrong.#1:1999 pewter metallic y87 rs A4 camaro.check out the pics on the link below<br />#2:Bright red 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. Brand new 400 cubic inch Pontiac Motor. Re: Tinting my back window
If you absolutely insist on doing it yourself, it will definitely be easier to do with the hatch off. What the pros do is they lay the tint out on the outside of the back window and get most of the bubbles out, then use a heat source (hairdryer or heatgun works) to shrink for the curves of the window. I've done some myself, and it's by no means easy. I would recommend you to have it done, but you can give it a try if you want.

Re: Tinting my back window
Yeah 200 bucks for all 3 windows and the guy did an excellent job. I say it was money well spent to prevent bubbles that I absolutely hate seeing on those do it yourselfers cars. My gf said she would kill me if I did it myself too. You won't regret it man. Pay the money.

Re: Tinting my back window
I got my rear hatch at a 30% tint for $65. Go with a guy who hasn't been in the area for a while and who needs to build up his list of clients, you'll get a good deal and he'll probably do a good job because the last thing he needs for his new business is to get a bad rep.
