Yeah 200 bucks for all 3 windows and the guy did an excellent job. I say it was money well spent to prevent bubbles that I absolutely hate seeing on those do it yourselfers cars. My gf said she would kill me if I did it myself too. You won't regret it man. Pay the money.

if you are getting it off of ebay, it is probably precut
i wouldnt take the hatch off personally, just get two people, spray it down with the soapwater and stick it on, you will be able to move the tint around a bit
While it wouldn't be impossible to put on with the hatch on, for a beginner, it would be easier with the hatch off. I haven't taken the hatch off myself, but I assume it's pretty self explanatory. Just unplug the wires going to it, take off the struts and unbolt the hatch hinge.
