  • Slid into a Snow Bank at 25 mph

So last night was the worst night of my life, and it starts with freakin' snow everywhere. I was coming up to a right turn lane to drop a friend off and pretty much once I got in the lane I tried to slow down. My ABS completely failed and I slid more than 50 feet at about 25 mph. Only thing I thought in my head was, "****..." and grasped the steering wheel as hard as I could.

I hit the snow bank with the front driverside wheel first, then my other wheel until the front of my car was a foot off the ground. After that, I had landed on another snow bank at more than a 45 degree angle and slid off the snow bank.

I got out, looked at the front of my car. I saw shards of black plastic everywhere, so I thought the worst when I looked at it, and to my amazement, there wasn't that much damage. My Front driverside wheel well pretty much shattered once I hit the snowbank, and my fog light assembly got affected by it.

But other than that, I was extremely lucky. I could've easily totaled my car and instead, I broke a wheel well.

Yeah that snow last night sucked, it was more like freezing rain.

I slipped on my driveway this morning taking the dog out, too bad my truck is in the shop or id go out and do some donuts.

                ahh, thats no big deal.

Probably a crap load of snow got forced in there and caused it to break.

You can probably get that new peice from any car getting parted out in the F/S section or from a junk yard for cheap.

Hopefully, I also bent my driverside fog light assembly up, so I'll have to bend that back, lol.

Is that gap between the side of the hood and the fender supposed to be that big? And it almost looks like the rear of the fender isn't lined up with the door anymore.
