  • problem with t-top conversion

    my weatherstripping isnt fitting flush and the person i went to who did it lives 2.5 hours away from me.

    Is it possible i could get to a body shop and have them fix any imperfections/do body work with my t-top conversion?

    just do it yourself

    Abbott long tubes,homemade true duals,slp ram air,whisper lid,eibach springs,kyb shocks,BMR subframe connectors, BMR LCA reloc brackets,BMR LCAs. T-top/manual converted

      that'll cost big if you take it to a body shop.

        I dont know exactly how to fix it. The main problem is the weatherstripping. The guy who did it for me didnt grind the part completely flush so im guessing im gonna have to do that to get the weatherstripping fit? Anyone else have this problem?

        Also i have a small gap in the front of the tops inbetween the windshield. What do i do to exactly eliminate this gap if possible?

            You said yourself you could've trimmed the back of the roof area but you didnt feel like doing it. I am definitely going to pay you but i was just getting aggrivated how they werent fitting right.

              well it looks like he was doing a pretty good job.

                    i took the pic after i did the passenger side. wasnt done. lol


                    the part that i didnt finish is where you're suppose to grind (or cut) the area near the rear of the car so the top area of the weatherstripping fits flat.

                        I also have another question..on the passenger t-top if i push it in all the way it wont latch down..i need to pull it out just a little bit for it to latch down correctly. Is this normal? It shows the t-top molding on the edge through the t-bar while the driver obviousley does not

                        Also i have half an inch gap or so between the t-tops and the windshield. Is there supposed to be some kind of trimming or something to eliminate this? how can i fix it?
