I'm just curious if I could fit a Firebird/ Trans Am dash in my Camaro...I do like the T/A dash better than the Camaro dash, so I was thinking of adding it to my list of modifications to do if it is at all possible...

That'd be interesting to know. I don't see why they couldn't but I wanna hear it from someone who's done it or knows for sure.

Im not sure if that is possible. Bolt down points between the cars for the interiors are probably different.

        Re: Interchangeability

It's surely possible. It's mostly a matter of how much work will be required. My guess is they would actually be fairly similar, but at worst, you know it's the same width and depth and such. There's a guy who put a late fourth gen camaro dash in his 3rd gen. I'm sure that would be more fabrication, but he did it, so with enough work you could definitely swap these two.

it would be best to get a donor car to do this... that way you have everything you need incase you need more than just the dash to do the swap.

People have done it, but I don't think I have ever seen a write up on it. Get a donor car and document the whole thing. My understanding is you will have to swap door panels also and that leads to more complications. If you aren't good with wiring you may run into a few problems there too.

                              Re: Interchangeability

Its just a real thought, though. I love the t/s interiors, but I'm not sure if it would be feasible. Personally, I think it would be pretty cool to have a t/a interior in a Camaro. As of the door panels, aren't they the same size and configuration as the Camaro's? I'd be rather reluctant to give up the leather door panels I have...
