How does the original front end look on a 96 Camaro.

    The one I have now.

    Thanks/Magnus

I like the 93-97 front ends way better than the 98+ front ends. Its modern but aggressive. I must say that I have seen some impessive 98+ front ends with ground fx, hood, and other mods. But I vote keep that one.

      Is it the original one?

I like those front ends as well but I don't think that they're very modern. They're great looking and bound to become classic but not modern with those square lights and black around the eyes that give it away as a car from the 90's. But that's great because the best looking cars were designed in the 90's. The 90's were all about futuristic curvy cars (Realto, Aurora, 4th gen Camaro, Firebird, Corvette) while now, the current trend is retro/modern boxy cars (Fifth gen Camaro, 300, Charger, Malibu, Challenger, Mustang, Focus, Fusion).
93-96 were the best looking Camaros IMO.

I believe the op's original question was, what the stock front end looks like. If so, then it looks like this

1996 Silver Camaro RS, A4, K&N CAI, Flowtech exhaust, !MAF screen.

Well, I know what you are saying but I guess I meant compared to the 3rd Gen. And its like a modern agressive classic look I guess, haha. I dont know, I like it. As for the black part of the headlight, I like when people paint them and I like the headlight covers but the only one i really liked it on was a black car because it looked like part of the car.

I didn't know if you were asking a question or not but yes i believe thats the original bumper with an after market grille inside it.

yours is the orginal but it appears to have the camaro logo shaved from the middle of it and it also has a billet grille and clear corners, the picture that someone else posted has the RS ground effect on it so unless your car is an RS it wouldnt look like that. i like the looks of your front end though with the embelm shaved, you dont see that very often.

Sorry about that, it was the grille I meant.

How did it look behind the licence plate?

I wouldn't be surprised if thats not the original front bumper. With no emblem being on there I'd lean its not original. If you get under the car there should be 3 numbers stamped into the bumper and those are the date that the bumper was produced if its an original GM bumper. Also you may be able to look at the dates and compare to when your car was manufactured. Either way its a nice camaro.

That grille looks good too, I like the original look of these cars.

                        Thanks for the help
