I'm about to buy a Trans Am hatch off of a local guy but it's red and won't match my pewter Firebird. Anyone know a ballpark figure on how much it'll cost to get it painted to match?

no idea. but makes sure you can get someone to match the paint. the guy who was going to fix my quarter panel said i would have to paint the whole car because my paint is in bad shape, and everything else wouldnt match the brand new quarter panel due to everything else being dull and scratched.

i just typed up a long response, then comp froze...

dont skimp. find a reputable place, ask to see previous work, etc. should cost about 300-500 to get it prepped and primed well, then blended into the quarter panels.

I took a risk getting a hood painted. i regret it, now i have to spend significantly more to get it right again. so do your research!

Ok, thanks guys. My car's paint is in really good condition for it being 8 years old but I'll definately not skimp out on this. I take way too much pride in my ride.
