well i can't see the pic since i'm at work but.....usually if you have anythign peeling then your goign to need to get it done, unless you are really good at wet sanding and repaint. I DON'T THINK THAT YOU SHOULD DO IT. you could hurt it more than it looks

Considering how bad it is it would probably be best to just get the fender repainted.

yep... someone let the basecoat sit on waaaaaaaaaay too long before clearcoating. needs to be repainted. base and all, its likely there isnt enough base on it to wetsand for new clear to stick.

Yeah, get that taken care of by a reputable company or someone you trust who knows what their doing with paint.

if you wanna save some cash... wetsand it yourself and prep, but find a place to paint the car and ask them if they can work with you by allowing you to do what you can to prep it and save some cash. I read the thread title and was expecting a small spot, this is major.
