97+ dash swap

Thinkin about attempting this once my beater gets on the road. First off i havent found any detail instructions on how i go about doin this. Also just lookin to c who here has done it and their opinion on it. Thanks

Radio and cruise. That reminds me...not to steal the thread, but is it possible to get swap a standard wheel for the one with the controls on it?

yeah its possible but you have to run wires to and from the radio...and its probably not worth it for somthing you'll never really use, I have it, and its just as easy to change the radio on the console itself...

attention customers....hackin? its not ****in hackin!!! im sry what i want my car to look like isnt ur vision...buy my car then make it to what u want if u have a huge problem with it...everytime i want to change somethin or modify this or that u have a huge problem with it and whine about me hackin up my 1LE....YES ITS A ****IN 1LE WHO CARES IF I CHANGE IT??? ya know, i do believe Dmw319 swapped the dash out of his wrecked 98+ turbo car into his new 97- car...maybe he could give ya some pointers?

but ya know...unless u need the money, i'd keep the dash, just incase u wind up keeping this car for many years, and feel like reverting back to stock someday...as for right now, i dont see why a dash swap would hurt

Mine doesn't have the cruise on the wheel; it's on the turn signal stalk.

I believe it's a one wire hook-up (the green one I think). Get a PAC-X and it'll control your aftermarket radio as well. I love not having to take my hands off the wheel to adjust the radio.
