paint themes?

i was talking to a buddy earlier about how i want to get my car repainted. (got a new hood, new paint doesnt match right, painter blended with the fenders, and not the front clip... so if i was to change back to stock hood, fenders wouldnt match right) and he gave me some interesting ideas...
the main one i like is to paint it two-tone. have the top half painted black, and tint the windows nice and dark. My car is SOM for those of you that dont know/havent seen it. also suggested getting a SOM pinstripe.

the other idea was to just paint the whole thing a similar color, but with some nice pearl in it.

ideas?

looks nice. I wouldn't change it personally...I would bring out the orange a little more though. Do the whistler mod to your headlights...but don't do it black. Do it SOM...that would look bad arse. also tint them windows as you stated...and get an SOM chevy bowtie for the grill and the rims to bring it out...som is a cool/rare color that you don't want to mess up cuz it doesn't match "perfect"...it looks good to me. maybe someone whos good with photoshop can do it...

i think that you should just spend the money and get the hood and everything bleend som. that color is far to pretty to change at all. get some crome c6 rims too lol

please do not change ur SOM paint. just go back and tell the a$swipe to do it right. its his only job. he has one purpose in life, to paint cars correctly. and if he cant do that he doesnt deserve to live.

i know. trust me, i was mad. thing is, it was a few days before i had to leave for school, so i couldnt leave it with him to fix it. He gave me a very large price cut because of it.

steve your color is beautiful!!! maye just re-paint it the same color (not with the same dude before!!) maybe someone could photo shop a half and half with the top half black maybe with silver breaking it up kinda like a hockey stripe? or maybe not IDK but i love your color and your car!

Repainting is usualy the cheapest route to go way less prep and much more forgiving. I love the color just get it fixed if its bugging you that much. Great looking ride though I couldnt notice anything from your pics.
