I'd guess around 9ish hours. 7-10 friday, and 11-5 saturday before it was where it's at in the pics. Then however long the body work takes.

              Re: T-Top conversion has begun

What I did was cut the foam back about 2 inches shorter than the fabric and tucked the fabric under the weather stripping. Unfortunately, I didn't think of that until I had already cut the passenger side. I wasn't too careful because I went in to it thinking I was buying a t-top headliner anyway, so it didn't matter.

Keep in mind, I did this in about 5 minutes, so it's not nearly as good as it could look with a little more effort. Like I said, I had already ruined the headliner, so I wasn't trying to make it look perfect. I wish I had thought of the idea of cutting the foam back before I ruined it, as I know I could make it look good and not need to spend the extra money on a t-top liner.

Holes were already there, just not threaded. Just screwed them in.

Tom- It's not quite the same shape, but it's long enough.

This is the best pic I have of the front part. You can see I cut too close on the left side, and you can see how bad the passenger side looks. It seemed to stay in quite well, as the weather stripping is a nice tight fit already. I could tug on it to an extent and it wouldn't move. Worst case, you could add some minor adhesive to better secure it, but I think it would stay just fine.

its not too bad to hold you by till you get enough dough to get an actual headliner... not bad man, not bad

Body work pics aren't going to be up for a few days yet. The fiberglass isn't hardening as quickly as it should be. Going to have to cure overnight and next coat will have more hardener. Then after some sanding I'll probably put a light coat of bondo to smooth everything out, then paint and I'll get some finished pics up.

I always thought that would look kool, i have never seen what it looks like though. I am sure you would need tons of frame reinforement to keep the chassis from flexing.
