Picked up some rims

I bought some rims for $90. And yes I am going to paint them black like TheGr8Schlotzky did, so if anybody has any good tips feel free to comment. Hear are some pics. Later

i've been back and forth several times on the idea of doing this, but if i do, my car will look almost exactly like schlotzky's, so i'll have to find a few personalizing touches...aint tryin to copy anybody

definetly use the TSP to clean them, really makes the paint stick a whole lot better..

If you wanted to make them look real nice you could take them to get powder coated. We just got my roomates brake calipers done, and it kinda supprised me how reasonable it was. I think they only wanted like $60 per rim or something.

that for the powder coating alone.

for them to powder coat those rims they'd have to bead blast them down to bare metal so that it would bake correctly i dont know what they'd charge for something like that.

thanks everyone for the good comments. I found these on craigslist.org. They are going on my white 96 Camaro. I could go and get them powder coated or painted by some one else but whats the fun in that. And I got a question for Gr8schlotzky, How many cans of spray paint and primer did you have to you use for your wheels? Thanks again everyone and later

I want to say 1 can of primer, two gloss black, and two clear gloss. There's a walk thru on page 3 of my cardomain if you haven't seen it yet. vv

Hey Gr8Scholtsky I have one more question, I can tell from your walk thru that the primer spray paint that you used is rust oleum, but what name brand did you use for your black and clear? Is it also rust oleum or something else and where did you buy the paint. Thanks again later.
