  • T-top questions (searched)

Ok so I did a search and I am surprised nothing is stickied on these things yet...anyways I saw that a lot of people did this mod themselves and it looks good...I dont want to touch it myself though, so I was wondering who had the t-tops professionally installed and how much did it cost you?...what kind of shops would do something like this?...and for those of you who had it professionaly installed did you end up having any leaks?

most of the info I found was ppl doing it themselves and doesnt really answer these questions...

    Thanks guys/gals.

Also if I have searched correctly I believe I need A pillars, B pillars, t-tops, some middle bracket, and I believe some clips, and chop my headliner correct?

I dont know of anyone on here that had it professionally done. Might try finding someone near you that has done it to help you out with it if you choose to do it yourself.

^^ agreed. I can't imagine how much a shop would charge, but surely way more than it's worth.

Check out the regionals, see if there is someone local who will give you a hand.

i did it by myself like 2 and a half years ago, back when there was only a hand full of people who knew what they were doing. now everyone seems to be jumping on the band wagon seeing how easy it is lol

there is the 3 bolts with each sun visors, 1 plastic pusher in the middle of the head liner, 2 bolts that hold the rear light in. then you have to put the a pillars back on, and the rear plastic panels back on too.(where the hanger hooks are)

fronts just have 3 clips on the inside. just pull those off. then the rear, take a flat head screw driver and you pry out the bottom of the hanger hooks. then they pop off. you can move them out of the way enough. you might have to take the floor piece off if you don't have enough room. which is only 4 screw on the pass side and 5 on the drivers

T-top headliner is modifiable if you know what you're doing. With enough effort it could look just fine. The only thing is that the A-pillar won't line up correctly with the headliner in the front because of hte dip in the hardtop liner for the sun visors.
