The bondo needs something to stick too. It's nearly impossible to fill a hole with bondo without actually patching the hole with something first.

Since the berger is off the car and you are able to get at the back of it, just cut a piece of semi-rigid plastic into a circle a half inch or so larger than the keyhole. You can use something as simple as the cover of a margarine or coolwhip bowl for the plastic disc.

Rough up one side of the plastic disc with course sandpaper. Then use some urethane to glue the plastic disc over the back of the keyhole. Make sure the roughed up side is facing out (this is so the bondo will adhere better). Let it sit. Once it's set/cured, you can then fill the key hole with bondo and it will do exactly what you wanted.

didnt read your whole thread, but saw you were having trouble with the keyhole. if you havn't painted try something at home depot called "quick plastik" (or similar to that. It should work very well for the key hole. i used it to actually rebuild part of my fuel rail covers when i trimmed them too far.

Looks great! Just make sure everything is nice any smooth before you paint it all, to be sure the final product looks as good as it can.

ok its been a while since iv posted back on this but i guess ill finish my project. whats the best paint i can use and clear coat. i think ill pick up 2 cans of gloss black a 1 of clear coat. which brand a type should i get to paint this beast. also i wanna clarify on the painting process.........few coats of black. wetsand with 1000 so make paint even. few coats of clear coat and to color sand i need to sand with 1500.......2000......2500....then can i just use polishing compound, swirl remover, then wash and wax it? would that be enough?
