well... to simplify things... what if you cut the letters out, and made them clear, and put a red neon bar (like the underglow ones) just behind there... oh wait... is that too thick? im not sure how thick those neon bars are, but anyways then you could just flick it on at night and camaro would light up? is this easier or just impossible?
A guy has done it. I remember him on LS1tech. You cant use fiberglass. He used a peice of plexyglass on the inside of the panel. He had a complete write up on it.

I searched and found one thread dealing with that but it was the "Idea" thread not the write up

ok... so he used pexiglass... did he use a neon bar strip thing? or LEDs?

Neon would blow with the relay of the brake switch, plus the reaction time of neon gas as compared to LED's makes neon illogical to use.
You have to remember, since we are talking about making this the third brake light, it has to pass inspection standards, and has to be completely 100% as functional as the original OEM light.
I can do this. I need to find a damn berger panel lol.
and If some wants to tell me how much space is behind the berger panel that's be great, i still need the lettering to work with though,
lol... i really wanna see somebody make one of these... i think it would look awesome at night... just the word camaro flashing in front of you... :D:rock:
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
