    just had an urge to paint my A/C condenser black. thoughts?

      dont paint it - polish it and the lines going to and from it with mothers metal polish - shine it up

          Notice how it's wet when the a/c has been on? I don't think it would stick.

            are you talking about the receiver-dryer?

                      yeah but when you need a power window motor in the middle of summer a/c helps lol

                        I have heard f people wrapping the lines and Accumulator with a certain type of thermal wrap... actually looked decent (the material was dark) but it also helped the efficiency of the A/C system by keeping cold in and hot out.

                            those are some thick lines...i dont see how wrap would help them at all...

                              True, but the way I understand it (and I could be wrong) but the "sweat" you see on the outside of those lines is energy lost in the A/C system because of the interaction of the hot engine bay temperature and the cooled freon flowing through the lines

                              ... that being said, I figure any little bit helps, plus it can look good :)

                              If anything, may help the system to not have to work so hard in the summer.
