but when i got to put it up, it just kinda dies

then wait ten minutes and it goes up a little more then dies...

and we're lucky, my arms aren't as skinny as you, but they fit in pretty well... sometimes.

... that being said, I figure any little bit helps, plus it can look good :)

If anything, may help the system to not have to work so hard in the summer.
The "sweat" you see is condesation because the inside of the lines and receiver dryer are colder than the outside, and therefore moisture condesates on them. It's not "energy lost", just a difference in temperture because the water droplets form using moisture outside of the system. The system doesn't work any harder or easier depending on temp...

      See what I'm saying?:naughty:

Duh, that does make sense, lol... the moisture does come from the outside... rapid change in temperature *smacks head*

You got any pics of the stainless braid over the lines?

lol, I don't yet, but I plan on doing that in the near future because i think it adds to the engine bay....

just look at any classic car with the stainless braid radiator hoses and such...It will look very similar...

jegs sells everything you need for it.

edit: and we don't use freon anymore, we use R-134A now!

          :)

When Central Florida is not on fire.... it's hotter than all hell. Sometimes t-tops/windows will not cut the mustard while doing 10mph in traffic.

Picture that day after day for the years you own your car. No way in hell would I own a daily driver without A/C.

are you talking about the receiver-dryer?

if you want a polished one and you have a 98+ i got one for sale....

haha never expected this to be a 3 page topic! But yeh thats what I meant. Evaporator? I don't know, A/C parts get me mixed up. Anyway, I think schlotzkys got a point there...and I wouldn't really want to discharge and disassemble the system to paint it. That might be a bit lame. Anyway I have some mother's lying around waiting for me to wash my car (this weather has been messed up) and get to work on my wheels, so maybe I'll get out there and do some shiny.

Also thinking it would be tight to be able to run that water to my windshield reservoir or something (don't worry, not in danger of freezing during any season the air conditioner is on).
