I'm also happy to say that mine don't leak after some minor adjustments of the weather stripping. I still need to adjust the windows though, because currently the only way they seal is if you close the door by the window rather than the door as i usually do. But it has rained quite a bit in the past couple days and there isn't a drop inside the car.
Tom is having an out of body experiance.. lol working on the car and online at the same time. lol
I was called out on a job so I had to stop, but I stopped at autozone, got some filler for now, till I can get to my paint supplier to get the finish filler... still trying to figure out how i can get the metal to roll up without cutting it and hammering down. thinking about heating the metal and pounding it down.. well back to work guys.

That cut is actually handy not just for fabricating. Although it would probably work out either way, the weather stripping fits under the cut and holds it in very well. The line isn't a perfect fit with the weather stripping, it hangs over a bit more, but the gap is just the right size for the weather stripping to fit under.
what gap are you talking about that the weather stripping goes under? you talking about the rear wall? Im talking about where the retainers are for the pillars. there is that hump, everyone says cut it, hammer it down, rivit it, and roll the metal.. just trying to look for a more stock look than hacking it up.

Im glad I got a TON of cutting wheels.. there were 5 welds on the pass rear. IM just now trying to get the excess metal removed on the rear so I can see whats going on.. I was looking at dudes pics on his site, and they are a bit fuzzy... Dont want to remove too much metal.. I finally got all the parts off the bottom to expose the brackets. I still ahve alot of triming to do..
so how much metal is too much? On the rear... i'll post pics up in a lil bit, but up front, do we want the t top frame to be flush. Im not understanding how the metal goes and its pissing me off, because its starting to get dark out and they are expecting rain tomorrow....
Gr8t, did you use rivits??? I just looked in my tool box and Im out.
this is really starting to become a PITA.. lol im not seeing how the metal needs to be formed. im starting to go through cutting wheels on my drimel like Jackson went through lil boys on neverland.... Im way past the point of no return, its hard to figure out how much metal to remove, what not to remove... Gr8t, you have a couple pics or can you take a couple pics of the metal fab you did.. kinda give me and Tom a scale to work from..
