Go to an automotive paint store and get some 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover. It's made just for that purpose. Alternatively, they make a tool called an eraser - it's kind of like a die grinder with a rubber wheel, and it works great for removing pinstriping and such. For what you're doing tho the adhesive remover should be fine.
i have a question about the bumper sticker..."ghosting" is what i'm worried about with the bumper sticker, plus how i could actually remove it...it looks like it's been there a while and is pretty faded...?
black, and i'm not sure of the age, but i know it has been resprayed; probably within the last 2 years or so...those pinstripes were like, baked on or somethin tho...one side peeled off ok and left just a lil adhesive here and there, but the pass. side didnt wanna come off at all. razor blade took that off but adhesive stayed...i believe i might try the adhesive remover
enamel reducer will soften the adhesive enough to come off. If the car is black, and resprayed when you said it was, there will be some obvious ghosting.
When I bought my Firebird it had a bumper sticker and a very old dealer sticker. I removed both of them with WD-40 and a razor blade. WD-40 works great for removing any glue left behind,

A hair dryer and the blade of a box cutter removed his sticker and it didnt have any ghosting at all once the sticker was off.
woohoo! finally, got the stickers off the back window, and the bumper...just as Will said, no ghosting on the bumper, and it was there long enough to fade it white lol...there's some SLIGHT ghosting where the pinstripes were, but i still gotta get the residue off...looks TONS better to me w/ the stripes and sticker gone
thanks for the advice guys...i had no idea how i was gonna get those things off w/o a big mess
lacquer thinner and clay bar, no question about it
got out today w/ lacquer thinner, didn't take it off...so i got myself a meguiar's claybar kit, and clayed the car...
downside: all the adhesive still didnt come off, but a bunch did...
upside: after the clay, i went over w/ quik detailer that came w/ the kit, and then meguiar's cleaner wax...it looks the best it's looked since i've had it lol
ps. the cleaner wax loosened a little more adhesive also...dunno what i have left to try : /
home depot ... be careful though you may need to do some hand buffing afterward....
thanks man...
here's a pic w/ the pinstripe gone, the leftover adhesive is only noticeable about a foot away from the car, and looking directly at it
and here's a pic w/ the bumper sticker finally gone...
looks 10 times better i think...thanks for all the helps guys, i wanted this done for a looong time now, AND i finally got it claybar'd and waxed in the process haha
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
