  • cleaning our 'shooters?

i've got alot of brake dust staining on my stockers, and i know theres all kinds of polishes and such you can get to clean em, but i was wondering if maybe some fine grit sandpaper could be used, to remove surface deposits and smooth up the surface a bit. i'd rather not paint em, but the staining just looks awful...

good luck. our stock wheels are painted to begin with, the brake dust is probably baked into the clear.

It's true. You can try rubbing compound, which will take off a fine layer of the paint, but if it is stained in any deeper, you may have to repaint. You can also try color sanding, but there is no guarantee you'll be able to get rid of the stain.
