polish an aluminum wheel all you want and it will never look like chrome. chrome also has less maintenance.

        Polished. Chrome's a pita.

It's easier for a while, but polished will last much longer, and if it ever dulls or pits you can always just sand it with 2000 or 2500 grit, and then repolish em.

I have triple plated chrome Z06 rims on my car, and I WISH WISH WISH I had gone with the polished ones knowing what I know now. At first chrome seemed like it'd be easier, but now, I can tell lol its not.

but chrome does look better. so it evens out.

With enough time and effort, you can get polished to look chrome, but chrome will look better for longer without maintainance. Chrome, though, when it starts pitting can cause leaks in the seals of the tires and really isn't fixable when it pits. Kind of a trade off.

That was the problem I had with my Chrome SS wheels I bought used the chrome was coming off and the wheels started to leak. I had bought them from a guy in FL I think. But here in AZ I shouldn't have to worry about pitting and chrome deteriating from salty roads etc. I bought a new set of ZR1's about a month ago to replace the SS rims. I also ordered the chrome blank center caps from SLP. Should look nice when I get the caps. I love the look of ZR1 rims.

I think it looks better, unless you're really into chrome...

It will NEVER look like chrome. Aluminum is more of a white metal. Doesn't have the darkness and blue shades of chrome.

The average person won't be able to tell unless they really looked at it. But yes, chrome will have a little more depth of color.

personally i'd go with chrome, and dont ask why, cuz i really have no reason other than i like dodge trucks, and they look AAWESOME with chrome rims :P
