  • help with rims size

I have finally decided on my rims as my chrome SS 10 spokes just arnt doing it for me. Also i need new rubber so i figure why not get get some new rims too.

Im going with Ruff Racing 280's

Im not going to go with the 20/19 setup in that pic even though it looks nice. I do not have a posi rear and i would like to rotate my tires. So id have to get the same size all the way around. Thinking about 18's.

heres my line of thought though...i like the stagard look, plan on upgrading the rear in the future (just have to find a 3ch posi rear) so should i just make the investment in the stagard look. If so i was thinking a 19rear/18front combo only because the 17" rims only have a 2 3/4" deep lip and i dont like a smaller lip in front. The 18" have a 3.5" lip and a tad larger for the 19" rims. What do u think? Pic of my car below so u get an idea

and so the final product will be this ( sorry for the crappy if not crude photoshop, im not that good at it)

    1994 3.4L DSG Camaro
Comp Cam 260h w/ 1.6 rockers, J&M STB, UMI 3pt SFC's, Spohn RCA's + Adj. PHR, KYB AGX Shocks, PS Headers, Cutout, Posi Rear w/3.42's, Aluminum DS, Wings West Body Kit, SS Hood/Spoiler, 17" TT2's 9.5/11" 275/315's, 5% tint

lol, go for what, 19/18 or 18's all around? I thhink it would look sick too - im tempted to just got get some TTII's or TTM's with a nice 315 tire but everyone has them. I wish i could go larger on these rims but i think 275 is where i max out. Still not bad

Rotating your tires is always nice. I say 18x9.5 all around.

quick thread hijack lol, I'm kinda in the same situation I'm getting an amazing deal on 4-18x10.5" C5 Z06 wheels with 295x55x18 tires all the way around. I won't have any fitment issues will I?

Jeeze are you sure they are 295/55/18? Were they on an SUV or something? Those are some huge sidewalls.

Those look like 35 series, maybe even 30. Ask him if he had to modify anything, chances are it will be about the same for you. I would think your front tires will rub when turning sharp and there may be a little modification required in the back.
