C5 idea on my RS

So after painting and doing this to my new corvette hoodliner I thought I might make the RS look better. Just about 5 mins and looks better than what it did. Also added the chrome button covers.

After taking out the hoodliner.


With it back in.

Looks very nice, did you just cut out a stencil and paint over it like you did for the garage?

I was thinking of painting the outline of the bowtie on mine red when I paint the intake. Something else to compliment the underhood area.

i would like to do this also.. i didnt notice the bowtie until about 3 years after i owned the car, i was amazed when i saw it

i saw a guy once who had custom front flip hood brackets, and an eagle airbrushed onto the hood. he also had a ton of ghost flames. about 20k in a paintjob apparently. waste of money though, it looked like a big green piece of ***.

I'd love to have front flip hood brackets though.

sounds like an oppertunity for colaborative design to me...i've wanted forward hood brackets for almost a year, just never been brave enough to attempt it

i dont think they'd work, cuz the shape and location of the vette brackets dont really match anywhere in the fbody engine bay. some fabricating would deff have to be done, but i think it'd be a really neat thing...


only downside...latching :/...i'm not feeling having hood pins anywhere on my maro
