Anybody have pics of the old style blades compared to the new style on the car?
I thought they were the same? I know on the 93-97's, there's some plastic covers on the wipers. I pulled mine off and it looked identical to my old room mates 2000 T/A's wipers after that.

They are virtually identical once the plastic is removed, except for one key feature. The mounting bracket is reversed. The old style has a hook that starts from the bottom and goes up, and the newer style has a hook from the top down. The new style allows for a much wider variety of wipers. Last time I went in to buy blades for my old style, the three stores I visited had stopped carrying that style. That's when I swapped for the newer style.

Gotcha, I had that problem as well. When I first bought the car I bought this one brand of wipers that looked like they would work really well. So I go out and install them and couldn't figure out for the life of me why them kept coming out to be upside down. Figured it out after a little time and one of the associates pointing it out to me. Guess I'll have to look into swapping to the newer ones in the future. How difficult is the swap?
5-10 minutes tops. Just take off the cover at the pivot point and remove the bolt. You may need a flathead screw driver to pry it off as it's slightly pressed on. Then put the new ones on and bolt it down.

do the big "aero covers" on the older wipers fit the new arms?
it looks like something is missing without em.

Nope, they don't. The design is slightly different. I liked the covers to an extent, but when one of them broke off, I took the other off and didn't mind the change.
I think I'll look for the satin black then as soon as I get back from Corando,CA this next week. I was just looking for something that looked clean and when you described it, the satin black sounds like it will look the best.

I got the cowl primered and painted today, TheGr8Schlotzky was right the satin black does look great. The only bad thing is I chipped a section when putting the 02' wiper arms back on. Would post pics but it looks like it did when I first bought it new in Dec. 05'. So there is really no reason to post pics, just imagine a new cowl with 02' wiper arms and Bosch blades. Or look at TheGr8Schlotzky's car on his site, but mine is Artic white. Will redo the chipped part tomorrow, nothing big probably the size of a pinky. Just letting you guys know the satin black looks great.

I painted that plastic with semi-gloss made for plastics (Wal-Mart). It looks nice, but it is harder to get rid of that bug juice than without paint, either using car bra.
